What is Home Internet for Metro?

5G Home Internet runs on the great T-Mobile network. Home Internet customers get service for just $50/month with AutoPay, and no hidden monthly fees, no annual contracts, and no data caps. One time purchase of the T-Internet Gateway (which combines the capabilities of a router and a modem) is required. It’s easy to install, just plug it in, turn it on, and you’re ready to go - streaming, zooming, and playing. During congestion, Home Internet customers may notice speeds lower than other customers due to data prioritization.

Who is eligible for the $50 unlimited Home Internet for Metro plan?

Home Internet eligibility is determined at the household level. Household eligibility is based off network capacity, which is expanding all the time, but can also change as more customers join Home Internet. New and existing Metro customers can check availability here.

What speeds can I expect from Home Internet for Metro?

5G Home Internet customers receive consistent broadband speeds and see typical download speeds between 72 – 245 Mbps, which is great speed for streaming video, surfing the web, working from home and most types of online gaming. 25% of our customers see speeds below and 25% see speeds above this range. 5G Home Internet is delivered via 5G cellular network and speeds vary due to factors affecting cellular networks. How do I get signed up for Home Internet Service?

You can go here to check availability at your address and then visit a Metro store.

Can I connect multiple devices to Home Internet at once?

Yes! You'll be able to use your Home Internet to connect your computer, phone, and numerous other devices in your home simultaneously.

Do I have to have a voice line with Metro to also sign up for a Home Internet plan?

Yes, a voice plan is required to sign up for Home Internet for Metro.

Is there a data limit on the Unlimited Home Internet for Metro service?

No. There is no data limit on the unlimited Home Internet for Metro plan.

How can I get my money back if I do not wish to continue with Home Internet for Metro?

You can return the Gateway within 60 days of purchase for a full refund of the price you paid for the gateway. Return to the store where you originally purchased the gateway. Service charges are not refunded.

When do you expect to roll out more markets?

We are working aggressively to expand Home Internet Service to more and more people, but don't have specific dates by location currently. If you are on our waiting list, we will let you know as soon as the service is available to you!

If I move, can I take my WiFi Gateway with me?

Yes, customers are required to call Metro Care prior to moving to confirm that their Wifi Gateway will work at their new address. If Home Internet service is available at the new address, you can use it as soon as you move in. If a customer moves without notifying Metro, they may not be eligible for service.
