Learn how to [identify your iPhone model](https://support.apple.com/108044) and how to [update your iPhone](https://support.apple.com/118575) to the latest version of iOS. - Make sure that your iPhone has Bluetooth turned on and check that it's connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network. - Download apps you want to use on your Apple Watch. Apps must be downloaded on both the phone and the watch to sync data. - Your iPhone should have the Apple Watch app already installed. If not, download the Apple Watch app from the App Store. - If you have not setup a Cellular plan on your Watch, you will have the option to activate services during your initial setup. Turn on your Apple Watch - To turn on your Apple Watch, press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears. Then put the watch on your wrist. - Wait for an automatic prompt to appear "Use your iPhone to set up this Apple Watch," select __Continue__. If this message doesn't appear, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, select __All Watches__, select __Add Watch__. - Select __Set Up for Myself__. Turn on your Apple Watch ## 2. Hold your iPhone over the animation and select set up as new or restore from backup - Center your watch face in the camera on your iPhone. Wait for a message to say that your Apple Watch is paired. If you can't use the camera, or the pairing animation doesn't appear or your iPhone can't read it, select __Pair Manually__, then follow the prompts. - Next, select __Set Up as New Apple Watch__. If asked, update your Apple Watch to the latest version of watchOS. If you aren’t asked, you can sign in later from the Apple Watch app: select __General__ > __Apple ID__, then __sign in__. - Certain features that require a cellular phone number won’t work on cellular models of Apple Watch unless you sign in to iCloud. __Note:__ If Find My Device isn't set up on your iPhone, you'll be asked to turn on Activation Lock. - If an Activation Lock screen appears, your Apple Watch is already linked to an Apple ID. Enter the email address and password for that Apple ID to continue. - Create a passcode. On your iPhone, select __Create a Passcode__ or __Add a Long Passcode__, then switch to your Apple Watch to enter your new code. To skip, select __Don't Add Passcode__. Your iPhone walks you through features like the Always On display and your preferred app view. - Keep your devices close as they sync. If you recently purchased your Apple Watch and have not activated service, review the steps to activate your device now. - Once you've turned on and setup your Watch, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. - In the Apple Watch App Select __Cellular__ > __Set Up Cellular__. - You will be prompted to sign in to your [Metro Account](https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/login/sign-in).
