Who is eligible to trade in a device?

New or current Metro by T-Mobile customers with a qualifying transaction which includes: new activations, add-a-lines, or upgrades with a device purchase are eligible to trade in their phones.

How do I trade in my old device?

How many devices can I trade in?

You are eligible to trade in one device for every new Metro by T-Mobile device that you purchase.

My device trade-in value is more than the device that I am purchasing. Can I apply the remaining value towards other products or my bill?

The trade-in value can only be applied toward the purchase of another single device. Any remaining balance is forfeited. Your Mobile Expert will help you to find a device that maximizes the full value of your trade.

I don’t have time to finish the transaction in-store today. Can I come back and still receive the value I was quoted today?

The value quoted is good through today only. If you come back at a later time, it is possible that the value may have changed. You Mobile Expert will be happy to provide a new value assessment when you return.

I changed my mind. Can I get my old device back?

You can cancel your device trade in anytime before utilizing the credit to purchase a new device. After new device is purchased, you cannot cancel the device trade in.

I’m currently financing my phone with another provider, can I still trade-in this device?

No. Devices subject to an installment or financing agreement will not be eligible. If you pay off your current device, then that device will be eligible.
