Someone quite literally saved the day and my business with these guys, in one swoop. After spending, I kid you not, more than three and a half hours on chat with customer service and all hope being lost, an employee, Sana, -literally my hero-came to my rescue. I ordered an unlocked phone online from a reputable third party seller and was told by the chat team from Metro that I couldn't do a simple phone swap. Same phone number, same carrier. First, it was I had to upgrade my plan. One of which would support my new phone? I went from a 2025 to a 2025 model of phone that makes no sense first of all. Second of all they tell me they're going to waive the $25 activation fee because I did everything I could on my end, online, and there was no resolution. I was very pleased about that. Well that was until 3 hours later I'm being now told that my phone is NOT unlocked, which by the way, it was CONFIRMED at the store tonight it WAS and IS and ALWAYS HAS BEEN unlocked. They gave me no determined amount of time it might take. $25 activation fee was added on my account without actually activating my phone because it would not go through. Email after email, attempt after attempt almost 4 hours worth of time wasted. I went through three different people including, finally at some point, the supervisor. they've done everything they can and exhausted all their options and that there was literally nothing they could do. Just keep powering my phone back off and on and eventually it will go through. That left me with NO PHONE WHATSOEVER. THEY ALSO LEFT ME HANGING WITH THE IMPRESSION TO KEEP CYCLING IN MY PHONE ON AND OFF AS IF THAT WOULD HAVE MATTERED BECAUSE IT WAS CONFIRMED AT THE STORE THESE IMBECILES ACTUALLY NEVER EVEN DID ONE THING. NO I TAKE THAT BACK THEY DID DO SOMETHING THEY DELETED MY INFORMATION ON MY ORIGINAL ACCOUNT AND LEFT MY NUMBER IN LIMBO. IT WASN'T EVEN ATTACHED TO MY ACCOUNT ANYMORE. Then, Interestingly enough, they also charged me $4 and some odd cents for a random fee of unknown origin. I actually had to write down the directions from the maps app on a piece of paper and make my way into a store thank God before they closed. And thank God I found somebody who knows what they're doing. Turns out it was again, actually unlocked. Thank God it didn't go on to Amazon and rip the person who sold me the phone a new one because that's what I was about to do! I also had to pay $25 in person for a new SIM card and $25 to activate it. I was happy to pay anything after all this crap went on. After 20 years of service I was literally about to take my business elsewhere and there's only ONE reason I didn't. (Which by the way, transferring to any other carrier would be a huge nightmare for me but how could I not?!). That said, the world-class, I mean beyond technologically savvy and genuinely kind, caring and helpful nature of this employee, SANA, changed my entire outcome. I have kids I have a life and for some people to think that it would be acceptable to just go all this time with no phone whatsoever? Unimaginable! I literally use my phone for everything. Sana, THANK YOU SO MUCH FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. TONIGHT, YOU SINGLE-HANDEDLY RESTORED NOT ONLY MY FAITH IN THIS COMPANY'S ABILITY TO MAKE GOOD CHOICES BUT IN HUMANITY IN GENERAL. She treated me so kindly and in a manner which calmed me down immediately. She absolutely reassured me that I would not be leaving there without a solution. You CANNOT put a price tag on emotional support like that when someone might really need it the most then also obviously the level of technical support and knowledge that she brought to the table was a literal game changer. I will never go anywhere else as long as she is working there, and I will recommend everybody who will listen to go here and be seen by her. If her co-workers are similar well then, even better and that only solidifies this is my forever go to spot. If her manager is reading this, she deserves recognition and in my opinion much more than that. 💗💗💗💗 View on Google
