I have been a customer for over 15 years. This location several years. While never completely satisfied, I accepted that you get what you pay for. Previously, phones and accessories lasted years. Now, a new phone with a $100+ screen protector cracked from a single drop on the day of purchase. They now automatically charge a monthly "headset protection" fee, which provides no meaningful upgrade credit or protection. You still pay full price for a new phone. The most serious issue is that my phone, which passed the 180-day unlock requirement, is still locked. I experienced constant problems since day one: SIM card errors, sound issues, and notification glitches. Store employees, including a manager, were dismissive and claimed they fixed it, but the problems persisted. An AI tool helped me discover the root cause: a "Retail Mode" file. They sold me a phone configured as a store display model, which causes it to reset periodically. This was never disclosed. I have lost all confidence in Metro by T-Mobile and T-Mobile as a whole.
