Change My Number

For times when a new phone number is necessary, use the details on this page to learn about the impacts, what's needed, and how to make the change. 

Get prepared

  • Before changing, consider using Scam Shield
  • Change your number at no charge once every 12 months. 
  • Additional number changes are subject to a $15 fee
  • The change transaction may take up to 30 minutes to complete.
  • Voicemail password remains the same.
  • Services such as iMessage and FaceTiime may take up to 24 hours. 
  • Phone numbers are recycled and you may receive calls for the previous owner.
  • Once the number is changed, the old number can’t be retrieved.

Make the change

  1. Contact us to change your number, preferably from another line.
  2. In the automated system, use the prompt "Change my phone number".
  3. After the advisements, you'll be connected to a representative to complete the change.
  4. Be prepared to provide your PIN, verification code, and requested area code.
