New and existing accounts with qualifying smartphone/voice plans can keep their regular monthly rate plan price for unlimited talk, text, and 5G data on our network for 5 years from account activation (or from qualifying plan enrollment for existing accounts). Adding or removing lines does not re-start the 5-year price guarantee period.  

Any customer activating and/or in good standing on the following plans is eligible for the 5-year price guarantee:

• Guarantee also applies to price for data on a wearable/tablet/mobile internet lines added to your plan.

If lines are added to an account in the future, the 5-year price guarantee is applied to each new line added based on the primary rate plan activation date. Adding lines does not restart the 5-year period.

For all lines on 5-year price guarantee plans, if you switch to another plan in the future, you will not be able to revert to your prior plan to re-establish 5-year price guarantee. You will lose your current 5-year price guarantee benefit or you may move to our newest price guarantee promise, if you are switching to an eligible new price guarantee plan.  

We guarantee we won’t raise the rate for your service on your qualifying plan, but other aspects of your service are subject to change, such as:

• Third-party charges
• Per-use charges
• Equipment prices
• Some non-data features and programs (Scam Shield Premium, Voicemail to text).
• Add-on features, non-recurring costs, or additional services.
• Network management practices will continue to be optimized to give all of our customers the best experience.
• Home Internet plans, voluntary equipment upgrades, or equipment upgrades required by a future network transition to a technology other than 5G will not be included.

Sales tax and regulatory fees are included in the price of Metro by T-Mobile Rate Plans and are covered for qualifying 5-year price guarantee plans.

Yes, you can bring your own phone to Metro prepaid phone plans as long as it is unlocked and compatible with the Metro by T-Mobile network. Most newer iPhone and Android devices will work. Bringing your own phone can help you save money and make switching faster since you won’t need to purchase a new device.
